Gas Utilization
Efficient biogas utilization for your biogas plant
Our combined heat and power plants (CHP) utilize the principle of combined heat and power generation, producing electricity and heat simultaneously — efficiently, quietly, and in a space-saving design.
The compact CHP plants are based on robust industrial gas engines and are quickly ready for operation: simply install, connect, and start. The generated heat can be utilized for heating purposes up to 95°C, while the produced electricity can be directly consumed or fed into the public grid.
These plants are particularly suitable for locations with short pipeline distances to the energy consumption point. Thanks to the pre-assembled technology, installation is simple, fast, and cost-effective.
Whether using biogas or biomethane, the FlexBio CHP reliably delivers energy exactly where it is needed.

Note: Additional sizes available upon request: Biogas: 7.5 to 2,000 kWel, Hydrogen: 75 to 750 kWel, Biomethane: 7.5 to 3,360 kWel. Also available: various mixing ratios of biogas-hydrogen-biomethane/natural gas mixtures.
Our gas boilers efficiently convert biogas or biomethane into usable heat — ideal for heating applications in industry, agriculture, or buildings. While biomethane can be easily burned in standard boilers as a natural gas substitute, our biogas boilers are specifically designed to handle the composition of biogas with lower methane content.
The generated heat can be used directly at the biogas plant or distributed via a heat network. Typical application areas include fermenter heating, process heat supply, or building heating. The systems can be flexibly integrated into existing setups and enable sustainable energy supply. This way, waste energy is efficiently utilized — regionally, reliably, and climate-friendly.
Thermal output: 15 to 1,200 kW
• Utilization of biogas/digester gas from anaerobic wastewater treatment
• Utilization of biogas from waste digestion
• Utilization of biogas from manure biogas plants in agriculture
Our fully automatic biogas flare ensures safe, reliable, and environmentally friendly combustion of excess biogas. It starts independently when needed, ignites automatically, and continuously monitors the flame using a UV sensor — all without manual intervention.
The durable stainless steel construction and high-quality components guarantee a long service life with minimal maintenance requirements. The flare meets all relevant safety and environmental standards and is designed for continuous operation.
Optional features include: Shrouded flame, Pressure control, Heated valves.
This solution is ideal for biogas plants that require secure and low-emission operation even in emergency situations.
Module Type | Flow rate (m³/h) | Thermical Power (kW) | Gas-Pre-pressure (mbar) |
---|---|---|---|
GF-15 | 5 - 15 | 33 - 100 | 30 - 80 |
GF-40 | 10 - 40 | 65 - 250 | 30 - 80 |
GF-50 | 20 - 80 | 130 - 500 | 10 - 60 |
GF-80 | 50 - 120 | 300 - 900 | 10 - 60 |
GF-100 | 100 - 200 | 800 - 1600 | 10 - 60 |
Note: It is legally required that every biogas plant is equipped with a permanently installed, additional gas burner that can safely combust all produced biogas in case of an emergency. This prevents unburned methane — a potent greenhouse gas — from escaping into the environment.
