A dairy farm in Samstagern, Switzerland, with around 100 cows combines modern livestock farming with innovative energy utilization. The farm places great emphasis on sustainable management and efficient resource use, making it a role model for the region.
In cooperation with our partner GRegio Energie AG, the official FlexBio representative in Switzerland, two manure digestion modules were installed. The system is complemented by gas cleaning, gas storage, and the utilization of the produced biogas in a combined heat and power (CHP) unit. This setup significantly reduces emissions, generates climate-friendly energy, and strengthens the farm’s long-term economic sustainability.
