The farm of Andreas Mehli in Chur, with around 100 dairy cows, serves as a showcase for combining modern livestock farming with innovative energy generation. The farm places great emphasis on sustainable circular economy principles and the efficient use of available resources.
A FlexBio module for manure digestion was installed, complemented by gas purification, gas storage, and energy utilization of the produced biogas. This project marked an important step toward reducing emissions and achieving self-sufficiency through renewable energy, while also laying the foundation for a long-term partnership.
From this successful collaboration, GRegio Energie AG was founded by Andreas Mehli, who is now the official FlexBio representative in Switzerland and a key partner for sustainable agricultural energy projects.
