A leading manufacturer of delicatessen and convenience products from southern Germany looks back on a long tradition in food production. With a broad product portfolio for retail and gastronomy, the company has established itself as a reliable partner with a strong commitment to quality. At the same time, it pursues a clear sustainability strategy that focuses on modern production processes and the efficient use of resources.
To reduce wastewater loads and unlock the energy potential of organic effluents, a compact FlexBio container-based system was installed. The setup includes an anaerobic reactor module, a biogas storage unit, a gas purification system, and a combined heat and power (CHP) unit. This enables the company not only to treat its wastewater efficiently, but also to generate valuable biogas, which is directly converted into electricity and heat. As a result, the company reduces operating costs, relieves the municipal treatment plant, and significantly improves its CO₂ footprint.
