We are FlexBio Technologie GmbH, a German company developing innovative environmental technologies for water, wastewater, air, and energy treatment. Our interdisciplinary team of engineers, scientists, and industry experts combines technical excellence with a strong commitment to sustainability.
With modular systems and intelligent process solutions, we help industries and municipalities conserve resources, reduce emissions, and improve operational efficiency. Together with our customers and partners, we strive to shape a cleaner, more sustainable future.
Founded in 2014 as a spin-off from a research project at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Göttingen, FlexBio has evolved into an internationally recognized technology provider. Our proprietary fully biological treatment process is tailored to the diverse needs of industries ranging from food and beverage production to agriculture — delivering efficient, cost-effective, and environmentally sound solutions that strengthen our customers’ competitiveness.

Proven Quality – Recognized Worldwide
FlexBio stands for safety, reliability, and engineering excellence. Our certifications and approvals in Germany are internationally recognized and demonstrate our continuous commitment to the highest global quality standards in environmental technology, plant construction, and operational safety.
Certified WHG Specialist Company
Recognized in accordance with §62 AwSV (German Water Resources Act) and monitored by TÜV NORD, FlexBio is officially certified for the construction and maintenance of wastewater and water treatment plants for municipal and industrial applications, including biogas facilities. This includes tanks, apparatus, pipelines, pumps, and fittings made of metal and plastic, as well as metal retention systems.
Our certification also covers special qualifications for working in potentially explosive environments, ensuring compliance with the German Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health (BetrSichV).
ATEX-Certified Personnel
Our experts are qualified according to BetrSichV §16 and GefStoffV §2 for the installation, inspection, and maintenance of electrical systems in explosive atmospheres in accordance with EN 60079-14 (VDE 0165-1) and TRBS 1201. This ensures the highest safety standards for explosion-protected systems and workplaces.
Occupational Safety & Training
FlexBio personnel receive continuous training in occupational and fall protection, following DGUV 113-004 standards for working in tanks, silos, confined spaces, and at height. Safety, health, and competence are integral to our daily operations.
Certified Quality Management System
Our quality management system is certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 since July 7, 2022. The certification confirms our voluntary commitment to consistent quality, transparent processes, and continuous improvement – ensuring reliability and excellence across all projects, both in Germany and internationally.
